Sal brings significant early stage investment, strategic consulting, transactional and finance and accounting experience to the NP Venture Partner team. He has a strong background identifying, evaluating and developing seed and validation stage investment opportunities and managing a portfolio of private equity investments. Sal also believes a coordinated team solution which delivers a unique combination of venture investment acumen and operational and industry expertise is crucial to success at the seed and validation stage. He currently serves as a Vice President of MedeFinance, a Nucleus Partners portfolio company.

Sal had significant roles in managing The Halo Fund, a venture fund that co-invests with The Angels' Forum, where he facilitated and performed deal origination and due diligence, structured and negotiated investment terms and valuation and proactively lead portfolio management in coordination with the Angels. Sal was also an active advisor and participant on many of the Boards of Directors of his portfolio companies while he was at The Angels’ Forum. Additionally, he developed and refined a significant portion of The Angels' Forum and The Halo Fund's infrastructure including its investment process (deal origination through portfolio management), investment pipeline methodology, quarterly portfolio review process and the quarterly report to the organization's limited partners.

Sal was also a founding member of Andersen's Technology Corporate Finance Practice. As a Director in the Technology Corporate Finance Practice, Sal advised and assisted clients on acquisitions, divestitures and private equity financings in a broad range of technology segments. He has been actively advising early and growth stage technology businesses since the early 1990's. These experiences have facilitated his appreciation for the entrepreneurial passion and values, strategic planning/positioning, focus and adaptability, patience and strong operational execution required to build great businesses.

Sal has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Temple University with an emphasis in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
